Back when I was in the 3rd grade my dad decided our family should have a computer.  Soon after he came home with an Apple II plus, two disk drives, a color monitor, a black & white monitor, a graphics tablet, and disk drives.  I was now the first kid in my class with a computer.

I’ve owned quite a few computers since my dad brought home that first Apple II. All of them have been Apple.  These computers, and the software made for them, are the creative tools that allowed me to become who I am today.

Steve Jobs had an infectious enthusiasm about Apple products.  I remember reading specs on some of the products announced at the various “Steve-notes”, not always being excited about them. But then, after seeing Steve, the ultimate showman, present the product himself, I was a believer. Steve Jobs could sell ice cubes to the Eskimos.

I’m an apple fan boy. I would get excited about Apple events, waiting to see what great new Apple innovation Steve would show us next.  Now we know we will never see or hear Steve talk about another product. I have no doubts Apple will continue to be successful, but today the world lost a genius – in technology, in business, in design.

Thank you, Steve, for being the innovator and the inspiration for so many of us.

I was driving home the store the other night hoping that I could get to a place I could pull over and get a shot that wouldn’t be full with other stores, buildings, signs, etc and I came to a this spot where there was a once empty pond.
